Hot for Fall and Winter 2012 Weddings

School supplies are out at the big box stores and Hobby Lobby is full of Christmas ornaments! It is a sign of the times that we are quickly closing the summer of 2012 (well, it will be 90 degrees until October here, but you know what we mean).  We have been combing our resources to come up with some great new ideas for fall and winter weddings. Now, we know if you have a fall date you have already chosen your bridesmaids dress color and hopefully secured your venue, but if you are a late-comer we have some great ideas straight from the Fall 2012 Fashion Runways.  Here are our top 3:

1. Burgundy

Burgundy was all over the runways from Jason Wu to Christian Siriano. It is a great alternative to for the bride that wants a fall wedding that embraces the season or a winter wedding that just wants a pop of color.  Burgundy also looks great on most skin colors so your maids will appreciate not being cloaked in tangerine or persimmon. :) Burgundy is also a very dramatic color and would look great paired with black tuxedos or shimmering champagne linens.

We love how Prima Donna Bride blog use the color in their inspiration board. How gorgeous is that bouquet?!

2. Winter White

We love a winter white wedding. One that embraces the season and wants to buck tradition. White is such a pure and sweet color, and one that will create stunning black and white photos!!

There is something so classy and romantic about an all white wedding (or one that uses varying shades).  We especially love the idea of draping yourself and your groom (best gals??) in a white or ivory afghan made possibly made by a dear grandmother or friend. Talk about utilizing a treasured gift!!

3. Metallic

Metallic has been making waves for the past few seasons (one we are slightly partial to).  Nothing says winter wedding better than utilizing mercury glass, silver, and gold.

There is nothing better than a bride that has glitter running through her veins (and her wedding!).  But a little sparkle goes a long way. Glitter some candle holders for you bar or group several for centerpieces. Candles will help show off your sparkle and cut down on your floral budget. Drape a simple wedding dress is 3 or 4 of your grandmother's or mother's amazing jeweled necklaces or a sparkling bolero.
