Mr. and Mrs. Finnen

What an AMAZING day yesterday was! Not only was I surrounded by a beautiful scene (and 98 degree weather!), but I got to spend my time with some pretty fantastic people.  I've know Becky since college. We were in the same sorority, but at different universities so we saw each other variously throughout conventions and trainings.  She had always been such a doll. When that day came when she called me to help her plan her wedding I was elated!  We met to discuss details and to hear how she talked about Kevin (with that ever present Wilbanks smile on her face) I knew this was one I had to be in on.  That smile would be one that lasted the entire planning process.  They got engaged in March and wanted to have their wedding in July (which I LOVED because that means decisions had to be made smart and quick.  The entire process was so easy with these two.  All smiles, all giggles, a lot of "whatever you think will work" (a planner's dream).

The wedding weekend started out with a big storm that moved the rehearsal away from the beautiful orchard they were getting married in at J & D Farms to the barn. Needless to say, not an ideal way to rehearse, but I always say "awful rehearsal; fantastic wedding' and it was never more correct than with their day.

Saturday everyone woke up to beautiful skies and a great forecast.  Becky was picture perfect and so calm.  All smiles, all day. Her dress is seriously one of my favorites, as it was made from raw silk taffeta that fit perfectly with the venue and style.  Their first look took everyone's breath away as you could see just how much these two loved each other and couldn't wait to be married!

After a small music glitch and an awesome groomsmen with the fastest iPhone downloading skills I have ever seen, everyone was down the aisle on time as the Alabama sun went below the mountains.

The party went well into the night as everyone danced it away.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilbanks and Mr. and Mrs. Finnen, thank you so much for letting us take part in this special day that joined two fantastic families. It was truly a blessing to witness such perfect love come together with so much support and excitement!

Kevin and Becky, We wish you the most amazing life together and, if your wedding day is any indication, it will be filled with nothing but joy!
