What We Do.

Often times we are asked "Why do we need a wedding planner?" or "What do you do?"

The honest answer to the first?  You, don't.  You do not have to have someone make sure your vendors arrive on time. You do not have to have someone make sure you're on time or that your cake has the right monogram.  But, in actuality, you will have someone doing those things. More than likely, a family friend or, in the worst case scenario, your mom.  I can't tell you how many times we have seen a mom pouring sweat and her hair falling with makeup running trying to mix punch or straighten a runner and NOT ENJOYING HER CHILD'S DAY! This day is about you and your fiancé, but it is also about those people who have helped you get to where you are today and the last thing mom, or grandmother, or you, need to be doing is worrying about those little details that will drive you crazy and take away from your special moment. So no, you don't NEED a wedding planner, but it makes your life leading up to the wedding so much more relaxing and more enjoyable.

Now to answer the second. What do we do? Truthfully, it changes with every event and every bride. Some people need more assistance and need more managing. Some brides just want us to show up and direct their day that they have spent time and energy on creating.  So here are the basics:

Vendor Management: We deal with the details during the coming days so you don't have to call the caterer 6 times in 3 days to discuss the shade of the candelabra on the table or space allowance.  Your wedding is also an orchestrated event. We know what vendors need to arrive when so that the loading areas aren't jumbled or that they have enough time to finish before our stop set time.

Design: We help you pull your ideas together.  Want neon green linens and red flowers? We will find a way to make them work and still have a beautiful event.

Contracts: We've seen brides get hammered with additional fees 3 days before the wedding because what they discussed with the venue as free was not included in the contract. If we come on first you have no need to worry about your contracts or getting what was said. It is our job to make sure you get what is in writing.

Timelines and Budget: Our timelines are legendary. We had major venues utilize our timeline as template for future venue guests.  We document everything.  And know at any moment where every person is that is important to creating your dream day. Our other main goal is to make sure that you make your budget!! A planner can help you by putting you with the vendors that will match your style and budget.  We've done the research for you.  We have also cultivated those relationships with vendors so at times we get a better deal than you would walking off the street.

The REAL DEAL?

We are your sounding board, your confidant, your gum holder, your therapist, your mediator between tough situations, your master florist when a boutonniere is missing, your napkin folder when the caterer is running slow, the person who has the quite moment ready for you before you marry your best friend, the people on our hands and knees sweating and aching to pin that bow right where you want it on a 12 foot arbor so you don't have to be, your secret keeper and become an extension of you so that your moments and memories are that of only great things.

And we love every single minute!
